What is Aquaponicpoultry Culture
Why Aquaponicpoultry
Aquaponicpoulty Culture in East Africa
The Aquaponicpoultry derives much of its concept from the aquaponic culture only that it assimilates poultry farming into this symbiotic relationship. Moreover, the whole structure depending on the availability of funds and space is located within a green house.
The main activities of the farming involves
- Fish farming
- Chicken rearing
- Crop farming
Although aquaponics methodologies and technologies have been around for a long time, this approach of assimilating chicken is only recently getting the attention it deserves.

The over reliance of rain fed agriculture and lack of diversity in agricultural practices are some of the challenges facing farming in Africa and has resulted in poor harvest and poor dietary habits. Moreover poor climatic condition over the years has seen droughts and famine that have caused a lot deaths and starvation in Sub Saharan countries.

This innovative farming method seeks to increase diversity, and in the long term become an economically viable project to African Farmers.
